How Dry Ice Blasting Works
Dry ice blasting uses compressed air to accelerate small pellets of solid CO₂ towards the surface being cleaned. When the pellets hit, they create a rapid cooling effect (thermal shock), which makes dirt, grease, and residues brittle and detach from the surface. At the same moment, the dry ice sublimates – meaning it turns directly from solid to gas. The result is a clean surface without water, chemicals, or any residue.

Cold, not chemicals:
The extreme cold (-109 °F) breaks down even stubborn contaminants.

No residue:
The dry ice evaporates on contact – only the removed dirt remains.

Gentle on materials:
No scratching or abrasion – safe for delicate parts and electronics.

Dry and clean:
No moisture, no drying time, no risk of corrosion.
This video demonstrates how dry ice blasting works on a vehicle part. Clearly visible: the cleaning is done without water, chemicals or any residue.
